About Us

For almost 100 years, our mission has been focused on inspiring, developing and helping youth and teens reach their full potential. We believe that every young person deserves a great future. Our Vision is to provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of everyone who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.

With the generous support of our community and investors, our youth get to engage with mentors and the right support system to help build academic and social emotional skills, express and demonstrate their creativity through the arts, develop leadership skills and participate in enriching experiences.

Our History

1930

The Boys Club of Dayton was founded and began delivering high quality, after-school and summer programming for youth K-12.

1968

The Boys Club of Dayton began operating out of the West Stewart Street building.

1990

The club’s name was changed to the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton after the national organization’s name changed to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This name change was done to recognize that girls are a part of the cause.

97% of our club members advanced to the next grade on schedule and 4,720 hours of service-learning activities were completed by club members.
