Crystal Allen is an inspiring leader, committed to enhancing the lives of young people. For more than 25 years, she has advocated for youth and families in underserved communities. As a first-generation high school graduate and college graduate, Crystal is committed to providing access to resources and support that help level the playing field of opportunity. Her position that “all young people should have access to quality and equitable education, despite their zip code or family dynamic,” is her north star. She personally understands the challenges youth and their families face, and the crucial importance both education and opportunity play in breaking generational poverty. She too, is a kid “from a hard place and a hard space.”

For 12 years, Crystal has cultivated her passion for youth development through various roles with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati. From a part-time Program Leader, to Program Director, Club Director, Vice President of Human Resources, and Vice President of Operations, Crystal knows what it takes to build a fortified Boys & Girls Club organization, that ensures the youth of Dayton have a Boys & Girls Club they deserve for many years to come. She also firmly believes in further equipping parents and caregivers with resources to empower them as they continue to support their children.

Crystal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (Pre-Law) from Central State University. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and is a business operations consultant for small churches. She is also mother to five amazing daughters.
